Day: 21 (Butterworth - George Town, PENANG)
The FINAL LEG of the Journey (27th June): Can you still remember the 3 youngest Sun-Chaser team members: Calvin, Alysia and Jordan?
Well, the three of them were in town and together with Uncle Richard + Robin Chye, Beng Beng, Janice, Boon, Felycia, Tricia and Ricky. I was very happy to see them ALL for joining me to the final line. My sister, Janice and family came to Butterworth last night at 10 P.M. while the rest (from Malacca) came to the hotel only this morning at 3 A.M.
We left Butterworth and took the ferry across the channel at around 9:30 A.M.
Once again, thank you very much to CHM Hotels: Cititel Penang has hosted our stay here in Penang (and also during our visit to Pangkor). We were met by Ms Foo Siew Lin (Cititel Communications Manager) at the Penang Pier and two Penang trishaws sponsored by the Penang Trishaw Riders Association Chaiman, Mr Koay Beng Hong.
The two Penang trishaws escorted us on a short trip around the Penang Heritage sites before moving toward Cititel, Penang. There, we were greeted and welcome by Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism, YB Mr Danny Law and team members from Cititel Penang (headed by their Financial Controller, Mr Woo Hing Siang).
Penang media were there too, for coverage of our arrival to Cititel. Then followed by a press conference in one of their function rooms thereafter. Wow! I felt like a film star for a moment you know. He! He! He!
Here, I want to thank you Ms Foo Siew Lin for organizing the event and her hard work in making sure everything was OK for everybody. Cheers!
Keep it up! Well Done!
