Langkawi
Chill out time! We didn’t do much during our time in Langkawi, just taking things slow and easy. We were staying in a chalet along the Cenang beach area and so swimming was part of a morning and evening activity for us.
Peter Hee joined us (Wei Peng, Ricky Soh, Meng Chwen and I) on second day but due to some unforeseen personal matter, Meng Chwen had to leave us on that same evening. Luckily he managed to book a flight back to Kuala Lumpur. Then on the following day, as already been planned Ah Seng (joined us for the second time) arrived at the Langkawi jetty @ 7.15 A.M. and we went to meet him. After the whole group had breakfast, we then dropped Ricky Soh at the jetty as it’s time for him to leave us, too. He’ll be joining us again when we arrive in Penang.
So, we were left with the 4 of us; Wei Peng, Ah Seng, Peter Hee and myself. By the way, we were very fortunate to be invited by Mr Leon Yong, the owner of May Yi Restaurant in Kuah Town for a free seafood steamboat dinner. We were there for a meal a day before, during lunch time and after learning about our charity mission, Leon has kindly invited us for a meal.
Overall, Langkawi is a very interesting place and has got plenty to offer for tourist. However, just like many other popular commercialized destinations, things can be rather expensive and worst during the peak season, as we were told.
