Walk Into The Breakfast Show @ NTV7
This morning it was the most nerve cracking moment for me since a long long while. Well, I am honored to be invited by NTV7 in their favourite live “The Breakfast Show”.
LIVE Interview? Seriously, I knew I’ll be putting myself not only in the firing squad but to get myself embarrassed in front of so many viewers on TV. Then why took up their invitation offer in the very first place? Well, The Trishaw / Beca Man (www.thetrishawman.com) is not about who I am, the trishaw and neither its about the journey, but it’s ALL about the charity event. In order to raise funds and
support for these charity organisations, my team and I will try our very best to promote this charitable cause and I am prepared to do anything for it.
You can tell I was really, really, really nervous even before the show. We (Kent, Mr Tan (my good neighbour) and myself left Malacca at 4.30 this morning. Thanks to both of them for cheering me up and keeping my cool with their jokes (though still nervous deep inside He! He!)
During the interview, initially I expected Zaini Ahmad or Nazrudin Habibur Rahman to be the host for my session as Joanne De Rozario was interviewing a doctor on the first session. Then I realised the two ladies hosts are going to interview me together. Hey! The hosts are hot OK, Daphne Iking and Joanne De Rozario in The Breakfast Show at NTV7. This make me even more nervous. Two hosts at one time, oh what have you put yourself into now Frankie? I remembered asking myself.
I believed at some point I was talking without knowing exactly what I was talking about (too nervous). Some of the questions asked were out of my expectation and I believed this is all part and parcel of a live chat show.
The whole 12 minutes chatting session with the two Beauties was like an hour session long to me. Ha! Ha! Honestly, by riding my trishaw to Muar and back (85km) is not even stressful compared to what I have experienced this morning!
Anyway, life is about experiencing something new every now and then and I am so honored to be given that great chance and opportunity today. A learning process!
Lastly, from this interview I hope even at this economy downturn, recession or whatever term u may call it, I hope people won’t forget about the charity organisations because this sector is the very first one to be effected. I am talking for ALL charity organisations (NGO) out there. Don’t cut them off totally. Even to donate certain percentage of what you have always donated and support them by asking your family members and friends to donate, you are still helping them in a big way.
(P/S: I am trying to get the video clip of this morning interview soon)
Clip costs RM650
On Tuesday, I have been informed by NTV7 the Breakfast Show that the video clip of the live interview will cost me RM650. Wow!
Well, so sorry to have disappointed most of you out there but, I have decided not to pay a single cent for that clip. This is a charity event and in my personal view since they don’t understand the meaning of ‘a truly charitable cause‘, I might as well spend my money on charity organisations. A money well spent at least. So sorry to say that this ‘little money’ seems so big to them.
Anyway, thanks for the invitation to the show.
Day Light Robbery
Hello RM650 for that short video clips is simply a day light robbery. Furthermore, its for a good charity course. How could they charge you! You are promoting NTV 7 too! Agreed with you.... donate the money to charity organisations will be so much better. By the way, my friend was in TV3 morning talk show recently and we are able to view it on TV3 website.
Wow, must have been a
