Day: 15 (Taiping - Parit Buntar)
This morning I woke up at 2 AM and went to pick up Meng Chwen at the Taiping Railway Station. The train was about an hour late and so by the time we reached the hotel we only left with another 30 mins sleep before our 4AM wake up call. .
We left Taiping at 4:50 AM and headed straight to Kuala Gula (50 KM). The journey this morning was easy on a flat oil palm plantation.
We arrived Kuala Gula at 8:36 AM, had our breakfast then explored the fishing village. We decided not to visit the bird sanctuary because the sea was already high tide and according to the locals only during low tide that we could see more birds.
So, we decided to move on and aim for the next town, Parit Buntar. Well, we ended up spending quite some time in the fishing village and left Kuala Gula at 10:12AM
Exactly at 12:10 noon we arrived Pari Buntar (80 KM).
Patrick Hee left Taiping for Malacca at 8:30 coach this morning while we were on our way to Kuala Gula. Also, Wong Ling Gau left us this afternoon after 4PM after helping us on his final stretch. It has been a real sport of them both to join us and thanks a lot, guys!
Hi! This is just a very brief log of our journey and because time is rather limited for me to do everything, beside of the most important peddling part I promise to tell you in more detail upon the completion of my journey. The whole episode has been worth it, Priceless!!!
Sun-Chaser Team: Wei Peng, Wong Ling Gau, Meng Chwen and Frankie
